When you use our contact form, we receive your name, email address and message. We use them only to read and reply to your message. The form is delivered to our inbox by email through Amazon Web Services (Amazon SES). We don't sell or share your details, and we don't add you to a mailing list.

Information collected automatically

Our website is hosted on Amazon Web Services (Amazon S3 and CloudFront). Like most web hosts, these services keep standard technical logs, such as IP address, browser type, the page requested and the time, for security and to keep the site running.

The site stores your light or dark theme choice in your browser's local storage. This stays on your device and is never sent to us.

We load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your browser connects to Google's servers to download them.

Cookies and advertising

We show ads through Google AdSense to help keep our articles free. Google and its partners, as third-party vendors, use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google's advertising cookies let it and its partners show you ads based on those visits.

You can turn off personalised advertising in Google's Ads Settings, or opt out of some third-party vendors' use of cookies for personalised ads at aboutads.info. Please don't send personal medical details through the contact form. Our articles are for education and are not a substitute for an assessment by a qualified occupational therapist or doctor.

How long we keep information

We keep contact form emails only as long as needed to respond and for reasonable record keeping, then delete them.

Your rights

You can ask us to tell you what information we hold about you, or to correct or delete it, by writing to us through the contact page.
